      More About The Artist

      John Baeder

John Baeder (b. 1938, South Bend, Indiana) is best known for his popular paintings of roadside diners and eateries. His Photorealist paintings have depicted diners from coast to coast, capturing signage and scenery along the way. From quirky food trucks to classical aluminum-clad establishments, Baeder’s works evoke nostalgia for the mom-and-pop establishments that once dominated American roadways. Baeder’s paintings can be found in numerous public collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Denver Art Museum, and the Norton Museum of Art.
